When arriving in Morocco we come to pick you up from Agadir Airport or Agadir busstation. The transfer is bringing you to the surfcamp where your holiday can start! We have a host in the surfcamp that is there to help you out with everything around your surf guiding holiday to Morocco. He will welcome you and do the check-in with you. At arrival we always ask to describe your surflevel so we can already schedule you in for a surfgroup.
Your arrival day

Your first surfday
We always start with a healthy breakfast in the surfcamp with bread, coffee, tea, fruits and some typical Moroccan foods. We have every day different surf times. Sometimes you will start at 08:30 with your surflessons, sometimes at 10:30, this is all depending on the swell. On your first surfday we observe your surf ability to see what surfspots you can handle and surf for the upcoming surfdays. Around lunch time there is a break scheduled. You receive a lunch on the beach! After the lunch there is more time to jump into the water again.
The spots that we will go to on the surfguiding holiday Morocco
To find the perfect wave, many different factors have to come together. The right swell, current, wind and tides on the right break can create a fantastic interplay of waves all at that one single moment. That is why we travel often to unknown surf spots in the far North or South of Taghazout.
After surf activities
After the surf guidings along the Moroccan coastline there is time to get to know Morocco a little bit better. In the surfcamp we offer a lot of activities besides the surf. What does surf guiding mean?
If you don’t want surflessons but you want to go surfing with support of a local you can take a guide.
Just like a normal tour guide, the surf guide knows the area very well. He can give you all the information about different surf spots in Morocco, for example:
– Where is the best place to get into the water
– Where do the waves break best
– How does the surf spot work with certain swells and tides
– What are the dangers of certain surf spots (for example rocks or shallows)
– Which surf spot suits your surf level
In addition, a surf guide is there for your safety. He knows the local customs and habits, knows the local surfers. Knows what to do if someone is unexpectedly injured, etc. This can be very useful if you are on a surfing holiday alone, for example, or if all your friends want to surf at the same time and you don’t want to leave the car keys / your clothes unattended. The guide will keep watch during your surf session and is there for you if you need any help!
The surf guidings of surf camp Surf Paradise Morocco always include the following services:
1. Transport to the best surf spots of the day
2. A surfers lunch on the beach
You can choose to bring your own surf equipment or rent your surf equipment at Surf Paradise Morocco

Swell info
Morocco is famous for the long right points light up during the autumn, winter and spring. Summer can be flat for long periods. Swells track north down the coast from the productive Atlantic and having propagated so far from their source are mostly of a long period. Dominant winds are from the north-west to north-east and anything that has even a fraction of east in it can set the whole region pumping. The main spots are focused around towns such as Agadir and Taghazoute leaving miles of empty coastline, especially to the south, open to exploration. Sea temperatures vary between 16 and 22°C/61 to 72°F

With over 330 days of sunshine a year you can visit Tamraght all year long. In the wintertime (dec-feb) there are some strong swells for the advanced surfers, you have the change to surf the big famous waves of Morocco! In summertime you there are small or medium waves, this is more suitable for beginners. In the wintertime there are tempratures around 15-20 degrees and the watertemprature is around the 15 degrees. The rain is very rare in this area so you’ll have great weather trough the whole year!
Peak surf season: Dec – Feb
Off peak season: June – Sep.
All the year trough the swell is working somewhere here in the area of Tamraght. You want to see or surf the big waves you see on the movies online? Then you definitly have to visit us during wintertime. But you will always get a great surf and we’re open throughout the year.
Morocco is a Muslim country and modesty is respected. On the beach you can wear bikini’s and shorts, but you can’t be nude. For girls: On the streets wearing a range of clothing it’s best to err on the side of modesty. For men: we recommend to cover their upper body in public area. Morocco is an arid climate, much like California. The day times are warm and the evenings can get quite cool, especially in the winter. Homes and buildings are built in such a way that they keep cool in summer and (kind of) stay warm in winter. So while it may be 100F outside, if you’re inside a home or building it can be quite cool. Bring also clothes that keep you warm!
In Morocco they pay with Dirhams. 1 euro is around 10 dirhams. In most of the countries its difficult to get Moroccan Dirhams. It’s easiest to change money once you are here or using your ATM card to withdraw some money from a local ATM in Tamraght. You will also find exchange facilities and ATMs in the airport to get money out.
In the surfcamp you can pay at your start of your surf guiding holiday in Moroccan Dirhams Euro or with Paypal.
We start to explain a funny fact: Tamraght is a dry town. This means that no store will sell alcohol here… But(!!) that does not mean that you can’t get alcohol. Alcohol is available in Agadir, in restaurants, cafe’s and you can buy it in the shop. It is allowed to drink alcohol in the surfcamp and it is nice to enjoy a drink after a good day surfing. You can also buy duty free before departing in the airport.
We get a lot of questions from girls wanting advice and looking for information on how to have a safe, trouble-free surf holiday in Morocco, and what they have to know. Morocco is one of the most tolerant Muslim countries. You’re not the first woman to visit Morocco. Agadir and the Area of Tamraght is a European tourist destination and the locals will not be shocked by much. however we would ask that all our clients respect local customs. Our advice to our women guests: Dress modest, be aware (don’t go alone on the streets at night, don’t carry large sums of cash. ) and ignore if you get comments.
In our surfcamp there are a lot of solo travelers, so it is always nice to meet other people, go out in town together and do nice activities together!
Yes! If you have your own surfequipment you may bring it and you. Check your airline for the possibilities to bring your board on the flight.
We can write you down on the reservation list, so we will inform you as soon as there will be a spot available again!
